Where family law intake leaks

Most lost clients are never turned away. They just hear back too late.

People facing a divorce or custody fight are scared, comparing firms, and usually reaching out after the kids are asleep. These are the four moments where firms lose them.

  1. 11:42 PM

The form that waits until morning.

She filled out three firms’ contact forms tonight. The first to reply is the one she’ll talk to.

  2. 10:15 AM

The call that rings during a hearing.

You’re in court and the front desk is on another line. Plenty of callers hang up instead of leaving a voicemail, and call the next firm on the list.

  3. Week 3

    The “I’m not ready yet.”

Many people research a divorce for weeks or months before they act. When they’re finally ready, they hire the firm that stayed in touch.

  4. Consult day

    The empty chair.

A booked consultation that no-shows, and a reschedule nobody chases. The calendar slot is gone and so is the client.

How Loopy handles a family law inquiry

  1. 01

Answers in seconds, day or night

Website chat, text and missed-call text back, in English or Spanish. Calm, warm and brief, the way you’d want a scared parent spoken to.

  2. 02

    Sorts the matter

Divorce, time-sharing and parenting plans, alimony and child support, modifications, relocation, paternity and prenups, matched to the practice areas you take.

  3. 03

    Checks for conflicts first

Asks for the other party’s name before collecting anything else, and runs the check the way your firm does today. A possible conflict ends the intake politely.

  4. 04

    Books the consultation

Straight into your attorneys’ calendars, by phone, Zoom or in office. If you charge for consultations, the fee is collected at booking.

  5. 05

Hands off what needs a person

Legal questions go to your team with the full conversation attached. If someone says they’re in danger, Loopy stops intake, points them to 911 and emergency resources, and alerts your team right away.

  6. 06

    Follows up until they’re ready

Consult reminders, no-show rebooking, and gentle check-ins with “not yet” inquiries on a schedule you approve. It stops the moment they reply or opt out.

Guardrails

Built around the rules you practice under.

Intake is the first thing a prospective client sees of your firm. Every part of it is set up to protect your license and your reputation.

  • No legal advice or case evaluations

Loopy never tells someone whether they have a case, what to do, or what outcome to expect.

  • No attorney-client relationship implied

Every conversation states that contacting the firm doesn’t create one until you agree to represent them.

  • No promises on the website

Site copy avoids guarantees and outcome claims that the Florida Bar’s advertising rules restrict. You approve every word before launch.

  • A flat monthly fee

Never priced per case, per client or as a share of your fees. Month-to-month, and you keep your website either way.

  • Only what’s needed

Loopy collects the minimum to check conflicts and book. Every transcript is saved to your records.

  • Compliant texting

Carrier-registered business texting, opt-in before any texts, and STOP to opt out on every message.

TenorLoop is not a law firm and nothing here is legal advice. Your firm reviews and approves all scripts and site copy before anything goes live.

The math

One retained client can cover the year.

Family law fees run in the thousands, and the system is priced so a single retained client can pay for a full year of it. So the real question isn’t cost. It’s how many clients are already slipping past you.

Move the sliders to your own numbers. The defaults are illustrative, not client data.

Will Loopy give legal advice or tell someone if they have a case?

No. Loopy shares only information your firm approves, like practice areas, consultation options and availability. It never evaluates a matter, predicts an outcome or tells anyone what to do. Every legal question is handed to your team with the full conversation.

How does the conflict check work?

Loopy asks for the other party’s full name before collecting any details about the matter. We set the check up to match how your firm runs conflicts today, whether that’s against a list we keep in sync or a flag for your team to clear before the consult. If there’s a possible conflict, the intake ends politely.

What happens if someone says they’re in danger?

Loopy stops the intake, points them to 911 and emergency resources, and alerts your team right away. Safety always comes before booking.

Does Loopy speak Spanish?

Yes. Loopy can hold the whole conversation in Spanish, from the first reply to the booked consultation, and your team sees the transcript.

Can we charge for consultations?

Yes. If your firm charges a consultation fee, it can be collected when the consultation is booked, which also cuts down on no-shows.

How is this priced, and does that fit the Florida Bar rules?

It’s a setup fee plus a flat monthly fee, custom quoted after your free audit. We never charge per case, per client or a share of legal fees. Plans are month-to-month and you keep your website either way. We’re not a law firm, so your firm should confirm anything specific to your practice with your own ethics counsel.

Does it work with our case management software?

We connect to your calendars and, where the software allows it, your case management or intake tools. We’ll confirm exactly what’s possible during your audit.

See your intake the way a client does.

We’ll review your website, contact forms and after-hours response the way a prospective client experiences them, then walk you through what we found. Free, and no obligation.

  • Where inquiries drop off on your site
  • A clear quote if you want us to fix it
